What is the Purpose Behind
Online Friends Feature is a simple but powerful way to create a deeper sense of community and belonging in GoBrunch. Imagine logging into your room and realizing that a friend is online. Instead of missing the chance to connect, you can now say, "Hey, Sarah is online! Let me say hi to her."
This feature helps bridge the gap between clusters of people who might be online but unaware of each other's presence. With proper privacy settings, you can choose who sees your online status and whether they can see which room you're in. This way, you stay in control while making it easier to reconnect with friends in real time.
Enabling Your Online Status
If you want your friends to see when you're online, follow these steps:
-
Click on My View
-
Click on My Profile
-
Check the option "Show My Online Status" – This allows people to see that you are currently online.
-
Optional: Check "Share My Room Location" – If you want others to know which room you’re in, enable this option.
If you prefer privacy, simply leave the room location option unchecked, and your friends will only see that you're online, not your exact location.
