The GoBrunch Notification Feature ensures you stay informed and connected, whether you're actively in a session or multitasking elsewhere.
How Do Notifications Work?
With GoBrunch notifications, you can:
- Receive pop-ups for chat messages.
- Get private message alerts.
- Be notified when someone joins your room.
- Get alerts even when you're not in the room or on GoBrunch.
- Receive locked room requests from attendees.
- Enable notifications across multiple rooms.

Types of Notifications
1. Chat Notifications
Whenever someone sends a message in the chat and it's minimized, you’ll see a pop-up showing:
- Who sent the message.
- The room name.
- A quick message preview.
Click Open to go directly to that room.
2. Private Message Alerts
- If someone sends you a private message, you’ll receive a notification.
- You’ll get an alert both for the message and the room where it was sent.
- Clicking on the notification takes you directly to the room.
3. Notifications When You're Not in GoBrunch
- Even if you’re away from the platform, you’ll still receive notifications!
- If someone joins your room, a browser notification will pop up.
- Clicking the notification will open a new tab, taking you directly to the room.
4. Joining Notifications
- Every time someone new joins your room, you get an alert.
- This keeps you aware of activity in real time.
5. Notifications Across Multiple Rooms
- If you manage multiple rooms, notifications help you track what’s happening in each one.
- Click a notification to switch instantly to that room.
6. Locked Room Notifications
- If your room is locked, you’ll be alerted when someone requests access.
- You can approve specific attendees without unlocking the room.
- If an attendee leaves and returns, you’ll need to approve them again.
7. Organizer Attention Requests
- Participants can request an organizer’s attention from their view.
- Organizers get a notification to jump into that room immediately.
How to Enable Notifications
On Windows:
- Join your room and take a seat
- Click on My View > Notifications.
- Allow GoBrunch notifications when prompted.
- To enable joining notifications, go to Room Settings and check the option.
- To disable notifications, toggle them off in My View.
If you’re not receiving notifications:
- Open Windows Settings > System > Notifications.
- Ensure browser notifications are enabled.
- Verify Chrome (or your browser) notifications are turned on.
On Mac:
- Click on System Settings > Notifications.
- Find your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and enable notifications.
- For Chrome users, enable Google Chrome Helper Alerts as well.
