Setting Up

GoBrunch allows you to have custom CNAME such as meeting.yourcompany.com/yourspace

Part 1

  1. Visit the https://Gobrunch.com/ platform.
  2. Ensure that you have already created the space/room you want to link to the CNAME. If not, create the space/room first. Here is a link on how to Create a Space
  3. Take note of the path on the space/room link, as you will need it to create the CNAME. For example, if your space URL is https://Gobrunch.com/event/1234 or https://Gobrunch.com/aaaa, you will need "event/1234" or "/aaaa" to create the CNAME in next part.

Part 2

  1. In your website admin panel, create a Type A Redirect to the IP: 188.93.149.180. If you're using CloudFare, make sure to Uncheck Proxied.
  2. Log in to your GoBrunch account.
  3. Click on "Account" located in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Select "My Account" from the dropdown menu or or visit https://gobrunch.com/myaccount directly
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate the CNAME Panel.
  6. In the provided CNAME box, enter your domain name. This can be yourDomain.com, subdomain.yourdomain.com, or meeting.company.com.
  7. Fill in the Space Link box with the desired path (e.g., /event/123456) that you want to set as the landing page for your root domain. For example, whenever someone joins subdomain.yourdomain.com, they will be directed to this specific space.
  8. To add your logo, click on the Upload button. Each CNAME can have its own unique logo.
  9. Once you have entered all the necessary information, click on the Create button to create your CNAME.
  10. After successfully adding your CNAME, the Panel table will be updated with the details you provided.
  11. If you need to make any changes or edits:
    1. To modify the SpaceLink, enter the new path and click on Save.
    2. To replace the logo, click on Upload and select the new logo file.

Part 3

  1. Locate and click on your CNAME URL in the CNAME panel table.
  2. You will be redirected to the space in another tab.
  3. Click to login with email
  4. You'll be taken to the meeting room
  5. Take a seat
  6. Copy the URL
  7. Your CNAME is now live and ready to be shared with your attendees. Link on how to share the link
  8. If you wish to access the Dashboard, simply visit [yourcname/main]. For example, if your CNAME is meeting.yourcompany.com, visit meeting.yourcompany.com/main or if your CNAME is mymeet.company.com, visit mymeet.company.com/main.

Managing Multiple Sub-domains

Managing multiple sub-domains in GoBrunch requires individual logins for each one. Here’s a straightforward guide on how to efficiently manage and navigate between your GoBrunch sub-domains.

Accessing Events Across Sub-Domains

No matter which sub-domain you're currently logged into, you can view all your events by navigating to subdomain/myevents. This universal access point makes it easy to keep track of your activities across different sub-domains.

Logging Into Individual Sub-Domains

Each sub-domain in GoBrunch requires a separate login. Here’s how you can manage this process:

Initial Login to a Sub-Domain

  1. Navigate to your desired sub-domain, subdomain1/main.
  2. Click on "Sign out" at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Click on "Login".
  4. Enter your email and password, then click submit to access your space.
  5. Once logged in, you can join your space and you won’t need to log in again to this sub-domain until you sign out.

Switching to Another Sub-Domain

  1. To log into another sub-domain, go to subdomain2/main.
  2. Repeat the logout and login process:
    • Click on "Sign out" at the top right corner.
    • Click on "Login".
    • Type your email and password, then submit to join your space.
  3. After this, you won’t need to log into this sub-domain again unless you sign out.

This method ensures that you maintain separate sessions in each sub-domain, allowing for better management and organization of your spaces in GoBrunch.

Understanding Space Visibility Across Sub-Domains on GoBrunch

When you create spaces on GoBrunch, they are listed across all sub-domains without any filtering by sub-domain. This means that any space you create can be accessed from any GoBrunch sub-domain.

Here are some key points to understand:

  1. Universal Access: All spaces created on GoBrunch are universally accessible. For example, if you create a space within your specific sub-domain, it will also be visible from the main GoBrunch site (gobrunch.com).

  2. First Room Association: Associating a space with your sub-domain will always direct your attendees to the first room of your space. This ensures a consistent entry point for all visitors, but it also means that customizing the URL is not necessary, unless you have multiple spaces per sub-domain.
  3. Sub-Domain URL Customization: If you choose to customize the URL of your space from within your sub-domain, we advise caution. Customizing the URL can cause your space to no longer be accessible from gobrunch.com. Additionally, it might redirect users to a different space entirely, leading to confusion and potential accessibility issues.

  4. Best Practices: To ensure seamless access and avoid any issues, we recommend not customizing your space URLs from within sub-domains. Keeping the default URLs will maintain the visibility and accessibility of your spaces across all GoBrunch sub-domains.
